STEP 1 : DETERMINE WHAT THE COMPANY NEEDS
During this first step, Cairn Experts analyses with its client the current state of the company and the context of the envisaged mission, so that the content and the objectives can be determined, as well as the competencies and quality required to achieve the mission. Cairn Experts brings its expertise, insight and advice to the client so that the assignment is clearly established. Cairn Experts formalizes in a comprehensive note the type of mission, the tasks and responsibilities, the profile and objectives for which the Interim Manager is responsible, as well as the estimated financial conditions.
STEP 2 : SEARCH AND SELECT THE MANAGERS
Cairn Experts identifies, selects and qualifies within a few days potential managers. To be selected, a manager must be immediately available and operational, and must have a proven experience, capable of resolving the problem at hand.
STEP 3 : VALIDATING THE ASSIGNMENT
After the client’s agreement, Cairn Experts proposes to validate the mission on-site with the most qualified interim manager. The client can request to change the proposed interim manager for a valid reason, such as an incompatibility with some or all of the clients team members.
STEP 4 : FORMALISING THE CONTRACTS
Once the mission is validated with the proposed interim manager the contracts are drawn up between the parties. The contracts specify the legal and financial circumstances of the mission and list the expected tasks, responsibilities, objectives and results.
STEP 5: IMPLEMENTING THE MISSION AND ENSURING THE FOLLOW-UP
The client is responsible for the manager’s integration in the company. The client presents the Interim Manager to the key people and explains how the company works. The client and Cairn Experts outline the action plan, the phases of the mission and the calendar of milestones. These milestones ensure the client that there are no differences between the objectives of the mission and the Interim Managers achievements.
STEP 6: ENSURE A SMOOTH TRANSITION AND FINALISE THE MISSION
Cairn Experts ensures the sustainability of the actions taken and the results achieved by making sure that at the end of the mission the interim manager hands over the job to the company leaders to guarantee the continuity of the ongoing missions.
At the end of the assignment, a report can be written containing the list of all the elements transmitted to the client.
